Note

Robert J. Webster, 69, Monroe, died June 29, 2011 at Monroe Clinic Hospital.

He was born Nov. 24, 1941 in Darlington, the son of Joseph and Lena (Bussman) Webster. He attended Holy Rosary Grade School and Darlington High School.

Robert married Rose Ruf on Jan. 30, 1960 at Holy Rosary Church in Darlington. They farmed in the Monroe area. Robert also worked part-time at Klondike Cheese Factory and Darlington Cheese Factory.

He enjoyed NASCAR, dirt track racing, watching football and playing cards at Jailhouse Tap with friends.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; sons: David (Annette Wenger) Webster, Argyle; Daniel Webster, Monroe; Steven (Tina) Webster, Monroe; grandchildren: Ryan (Karli), Jerod (Josie), Wyatt, Angela and Ty Steven; a brother, A. James Webster, Mauston; a sister, Ruth Pivar, West Bend; brother-in-law, John (Nathalie) Ruf, Fayette; and sisters-in-law: Linda Webster, Wauwatosa; and Betty Williams, Gratiot. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Warner Webster; and brother, Tom Webster.

Visitation was held July 5, 2011 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe. Private burial was at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Darlington. A memorial fund will be established in Robert's memory.
